Shred Station acquires Anglian Confidential Secure Data Services

We are pleased to announce we have purchased the shredding division of archive service provider, Anglian Confidential Secure Data Services (ACDS).

Mar 09, 2016

In December 2015, Shred Station took over formal control of ACDS ‘ shredding division.

ACDS is based in King's Lynn, providing secure document destruction services throughout the whole of East Anglia. As part of the handover, they worked with us for six weeks to ensure that all their customers’ requirements could be effectively met. Perhaps the most vital element of this process was maintaining a full continuation of service, which was satisfactorily achieved.

ACDS were always able to provide its shredding customers with a high standard of regular service.  However, as a larger company, we are in a better place to offer customers assurances, with many industry-recognised accreditations and awards to our name.

We plan to incorporate ACDS’ collections into our own routing, using mobile shredding services. This will in no way impact our current customer relationships to any degree. Local customers are set to only enjoy an increased level of attention to detail and the arrival of extended services.

For ACDS’ customers, this means a fully ISO-certified service. Our larger fleet is able to respond faster to sudden requirements. With our solar-powered depot, mobile onsite and off-site shredding services, plus media and product destruction available, this gives the end user more choice about the treatment of their confidential waste.

It’s not only the immediate benefits that are offered by this move, either. We are also able to provide customers with carbon offsetting, improving their green credentials and helping them adhere to their environmental responsibilities.

As we continue to grow and increase our share of the shredding market, this move solidifies our position for 2016. With this expanded customer base, we continue as the largest independent shredding company in the UK.
